App: QR Barcode Scanner (com.midrey.qrbarcodescanner)
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the QR Barcode Scanner Android application (“the App”) handles information when you use it.
The App processes the codes you scan and the codes you create entirely on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your scans, history, favorites, or settings, and we do not sell personal information.
Codes that configure authenticator apps (otpauth:// links) are never
displayed in full, copied, shared, or saved to history.
The App shows ads provided by Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, app-open, and native formats). To deliver ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device characteristics, and interaction data, subject to Google's own policies:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and record your consent before serving personalized ads, and exposes a “Privacy choices” entry in Settings so you can change your decision at any time.
The App has no analytics SDK, no account system, and no backend. It does not collect contacts, location, photos (beyond the image you explicitly pick for scanning), microphone audio, or precise location.
The App is not directed at children under 13. Ads shown by Google are subject to Google's policies for child-directed treatment where applicable.
All network connections made by the App (for example loading the privacy policy or ad content) use HTTPS. The App blocks cleartext traffic at the platform level.
We may update this Policy as the App evolves. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected in subsequent releases of the App.
Questions about this Policy or the App can be sent to support.qrbarcodescanner@gmail.com.
